Sheetal and Jay extended their store into the house next door with all Planning permission already secured. However a neighbour objected to the Variation of their Premises Licence plan, and spent 15 minutes addressing the Panel without touching on any Licensable Activity, mainly concentrating on amenity and the proximity to residential accommodation – an essential feature of any Cornershop – and all related to Planning and not Licensing. The Variation was duly granted with no additional Conditions imposed, save those already agreed with the Licensing Enforcement Officer. Way to go, Team Niha’s!
