The exam takes 10-15 mins to complete and can be booked at a time and date to suit you between (Mon-Fri 9am to 4.30pm) once you have completed the training.
Who is this qualification for?
This qualification is aimed at individuals working in, or preparing to work in, any industry that involves the retail sale of alcohol. Anyone wishing to sell or authorise the sale of alcohol by retail on licensed premises must hold a personal licence.
How long does it take to qualify?
Before now, we have had people book on a Monday and pass by the Wednesday! All the study materials will be made available at the time of booking for you to learn at your own pace. It can be as quick as you like or take as long as you need.
You will need Photographic ID to take this exam. There is 1 retake of the exam included in this package.
Topics Covered
These include the nature, purpose and period of validity of a personal licence, the application process and legal duties when applying for a personal licence, the legal duties of a personal licence holder, the roles, responsibilities and functions of licensing authorities, the nature and strength of alcohol and the effect on the body and the law in relation to premises licences.

Learn and qualify from home at your own pace. You will need the following to take the invigilated exam:
What happens next?
Purchase the course, You get a receipt for your purchase, We send you log on information to study online. You message us when you are ready to take the exam, We book you in and the exam team contact you with a date and time. You show your photographic ID, You take the exam online, You PASS, We send you your certificate.
When you have passed...
You will need a DBS Check which can be obtained from the official government website for £23, you must have the paper copy of this for your application and it must be no more than 1 month old when you apply for your licence. You then need to download the application forms from your local council website and pay the £37 application fee to your local council to get your licence.
Also enclose a copy of your UK Passport or right to work in the UK along with 2 passport size photographs of which one must be endorsed on the rear with the following ``I certify this is a true likeness of (Your Name).
(Signature of Endorser) (Printed name of endorser) (Profession or qualification) (Date Signed) - this must be signed by a person of standing the same as you would for a passport.

In the event that a Responsible Authority (e.g. The Police or the Council) do object to your application, then we will represent you at any Licensing Hearing for an additional fee at a fraction of the price of a solicitor. That said, these Hearings are very rare and we are invariably successful at them.
