Another Successful Outcome for a WineGB Member!
The established, successful and fabulous ‘Off The Line’ Vineyard in Hellingly, Sussex were already licensed when they came to us last month. They required our help to expand their ‘Direct to Customer’ Sales through extending their operating hours for OFF Sales via an ON-LINE pick, pack & despatch operation from 08:00 to 23:00hrs, and extending the operating hours for ON & OFF Sales via their Cellar Door bottle shop, including tours and tastings from 11:00 to 20:00hrs on several days every week.
Clearly there has been a rise in public awareness and interest in Vineyards based in the UK, with much greater of visitors and tourists visiting these idyllic ventures, and them purchasing significant volumes of wine on site. In order to anticipate this rise in visitor numbers, a new access route to the site has been approved to allow easier access in anticipation of future raised footfall.
Duly The Licensing Guys ™ submitted an application for a Variation to the pre-existing Premises Licence, and after some liaison with the Council who negotiated between ourselves and some neighbours who considered filing an objection, everything was resolved amicably and the new Licence was issued unopposed.
